Storming

merupakan tahap dimana terjadi konflik dalam kelompok

disagreement → confrontation → escalation → deescalation → conflict resolution

Disagreement ► perlu segera diidentifikasi masalahnya : salah paham atau bukan? urgent atau tidak?
Confrontation ► pertentangan terbuka (verbal attack) → polarisasi anggota kelompok
Escalation ► konflik makin tajam → anggota makin kasar → distrust, frustration, dan negative reciprocity
Deescalation ► konflik mulai menurun
Conflict Resolution ► akhir dari konflik, baik itu good ending atau bad ending

Mengolah konflik

1. Negosiasi :
- distributive issues : satu pihak puas, satu pihak lain mengikuti keputusan pihak yang puas
- integrative issues : = win-win solution

2. Membangun Kepercayaan : komunikasi keinginan individu dengan hati-hati

Mengapa terjadi konflik?

• Interdependence → bersifat kompetitif → konflik
• Influence strategies → affecting others, negative reinforcements → konflik
• Misunderstanding Misperception
